Eloise Grey’s tweed collection continues the writers’ theme. Elizabeth I, a sculptural piece, seems to suit plainer tweeds such as the rich dark Hebridean Hopsack. Elizabeth II looks beautiful in the Diamond Twills and the organic silver Herringbone alike.
An absolute favourite
is the de Beauvoir, this year featured in the silver Diamond Twill. The two skirts combine elegance
with practicality. Eloise
Grey plays homage to Virago Modern Classics writers, Rebecca West and Antonia
White with the skirts.
Toklas and Waugh are both inspired by photographs of these
writers in the 1930’s.
Toklas continues to be a bestseller in the Tattersal check, and also looks fabulous in the herringbone, a good choice for blondes, it would appear.
In response to customer demand Eloise Grey has introduced a menswear collection. The styles feature exquisite tailoring details and understated elegance. There is a formal and sharp double-breasted jacket, a single buttoned jacket and a throw-over-anything gilet with nerhu collar. The menswear collection is dedicated to Somerset Maugham and the shoot pays homage to Farnham man, William Cobbett.
