I keep coming across BBC Thread. I've finally realised why I haven't spent very much time on the ethical/eco 'magazine' which is in fact a very multimedia web experience, though thankfully they haven't called it a 'webzine'. It's a little more BBC3 than BBC4 for me. No surprises as to my preferred channel but in true fogey style I've realised it's the 'loud music' that makes me close the browser each time. Reminds me of my uncle who I never understood as a teenager when he said he couldn't stand pubs with music. Clearly a sign of the times that I now understand where he's coming from, but for me it's websites with music that put me off. Unless, of course, they are music sites, in which case, that's perfectly alright.
I do applaud BBC Thread. Please make no mistake on that point.
So someone from an interesting company called Futerra wrote to me and asked me to put this on my site which I'm more than happy to do. If anyone wants to borrow one of my garments from my new collection for their entry then I'd be delighted so get in touch... I've also got a lovely hemp coat inspired by the inimicable Vita Sackville-West, which looks rather wonderful.
